Hebrew Classes

Classes meet on Saturday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. and are free and open to the public.  (Materials costs subject to change)

HEB 101 Hebrew for Kids I

A gradual, year-long study in reading, writing, and pronunciation of the Hebrew alphabet using word puzzles with vocabulary from the Bible.  Children 8 and up.   Materials: $15.00

HEB 102 Hebrew for Kids II

A year-long continuation of HEB 101. Materials: $18.00

All of the following classes meet periodically:

HEB 201 Introduction to Hebrew

Reading, writing, and pronunciation of the Hebrew alphabet with written exercises.  A small vocabulary will be developed.   Teens and adults.  Materials: $15.00

HEB 301 Prayerbook Hebrew I (7 weeks)

Vocabulary and grammar of the Siddur, the Jewish prayer book, nearly identical with Biblical and modern grammar.  Materials: $28.00.  Prerequisite: HEB 101 or 201

HEB 302 Prayerbook Hebrew II

Continuation of HEB 301.  Materials: uses the same book as HEB 301.

HEB 303 Prayerbook Hebrew III

Continuation of HEB 302.  Materials: uses the same book as HEB 301 and 302.
